A PARTY INTERRUPTED
INVASION BY MASKED MEN. , VALUABLE HAUL SECURED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright, MELBOURNE, June 17. A private party, composed of seven men, were playing cards and amusing themselves in various ways on Sunday night, when four masked men, armed with revolvers, entered the room and ordered them all to put up their hands. They then searched the members of the party and the premises. They seized money and jewellery and watches valued at over ij'c ud, and escaped in a motor car. The police arrived a few minutes later. Up to the present there have been no arrests. The bandits missed a valuable diamond ring, which the owner managed to drop down the back of his neck. Another stuffed £IOO in large notes into his mouth and saved them.
