MENTAL DEFECTIVES.
COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June it. The Committee of Inquiry into the question of sexual perverts and feeble-minded persons, of which the Hon. W. H. Trig an is chairman, has returner! to Wellington Uu the way down from Auckland the com mitteo held a short sitting at Hamilton to hear evidence. It also visited the Wan keria prison farm and Johanna Mental Hospital, taking the evidence of Dr Griffin (superintendent of both institutions) and Dr Macphcrson. On Monday next the committee will leave for New Plymouth, returning to Wellington the following Wednesday week, after which it will leave tor the South Island, where it expects to remain about a fortnight, taking evidence in various centres. It then returns to Wellington for the final hearing.
