PSYCHOLOGY OF THE ADOLESCENT.

The VT.E. A, class on triday discussed further the mental rlevelopmont of tho adolescent girls, taking in more detail some of the points raised by Dr Lawson in his lecture the previous week. The need for differentiating between curricula for boys and girls in early adolescence, the place of home science in a girl’s education, tho advisability of every girl’s training for a profosson. were all gone into fully by the class, and considerable diversity of opinion was expressed. It was felt that the new junior high schools that were about to bo established as an experiment might ■•■■ ell solve many of the problems now- raised in connection with the mental devlopmenl of the adolescent, and hope was expressed that the movement would spread, as at present the girls’ needs were not adequately met. Mrs R. Blair will give a lecture on the religious needs of the adolescent girl next Friday.
