CRUCIFIED MAN.
Jil KOMAN CAMP RELICS AT FOLKESTONE. The excavations of the Roman site at East CHS, Folkestone, have revealed the bone of a man's foot, and right through the bone is a clean lioie the size of a thick nail. It is suggested that the hole was caused by crucifixion. The cookhouse of two apartments found previously has been further investigated, and there is evidence that there were eight hearths in it. Adjoining the apartments is a vestibule, entrance to which, is obtained by two clearly-cut steps. Among coins discovered is one early British bearing the date 50 8.C., and another of Constantino 307-337. The early British coin is of bronze and bears an impression ot a horse on one side. A heart-shaped armlet and a large silver brooch are among other finds. Further rooms are being discovered, and it is believed they were part of a large military establishment.
