POTTERY WORKER’S DEATH. (Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 14. Daniel Welsh, who was injured at GJenQeld Brick and Potterv Works on Thursday through becoming entangled in a i ravelling belt, died in'hospital this morning. He was married, and aged 41. There are three children. FOOITS ALL ACCIDENT. PLAYER’S LEG BROKEN. (Pee United Pbess Association.) WANGANUI, June 15. During the Ararnoho-College Rugby match on Saturday G. Small, playing ioi the former, sustained a broken leg. RUN OVER BY BALLAST TRAIN, (Per United Pbess Association.) ASHBURTON, June 14. Alfred Dalby, married, aged 45 years, with several children living in Christchurch, was run over by a ballast train in a shingle pit at Winslow this morning and killed instantly. He was employed as a casual labourer by the department. The hospital authorities report that Andrew M‘Kay, the jockey, who was seriously injured at the Dunedin Club’s winter meeting at Wingatui, is much better and is making steady progress towards recovery.
