A special meeting of shareholders in the Dunedin Gas Light and Coke Company was held yesterday afternoon; and a proposal was agreed to, according to which the New Zealand Banking Corporation will pay the £12.000 due to the Bank of Now Zealand, and Mr Hutchison, the Engineer of the Company, will become lessee of the works for six years, paying ton per cent, to the shareholders. The debentures, are to he made not less than a ten per cent, investment.
