BOATS TO THE RESCUE. LONDON, June 2. Forty-one million tons of rain fell in London in a few hours during the weekend. There were tremendous floods throughout the country. Rivers overflowed, and swamped hundreds of lowlying houses, the occupants of which took fefuge in their bedrooms. May people were rescued by boats. Worcester is without light or trams, and has little drinking water. The cricket ground cannot bo used for a fortnight.
