The Fakeha cam© out of dry dock at Port Chalmers yesterday, her damaged bottomplating having been repaired. 'Berthing at the George street pier, she began the reloading of coal and tallow which had been discharged to lighten her for docking. She will probably leave for Bluff again to-day. Tho Waikouaiti, from Sydney, via Bluff, is duo here this morning to discharge u largo quantity of general cargo. She is to sail on Tuesday lor Lyttelton and Timaru, and will return to Sydney from the South Canterbury port. Messrs Dalgety and Co. advise that transhipments ox the Narkunda, Houtman, and Moldavia, will arrive per the Waikouaiti. The Atua, from Auckland, via Wellington and Lyttelton, is to leave the Canterbury port to-day for I'icton to complete loading for Auckland. ■ The Ngakuta is to leave Auckland early next month for Rarotonga, Aitutaki, and Hangaia. The Oorinna, from Wellington, ia due here ■this morning, and is to sail to-day for Oamaru. Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson. and New Plymouth. ■ The Wanaka, from Auckland direct, is due hero, on Sunday, and is to sail on Monday for Auckland, via ports. Tho Navua. from Wellington, is duo hero on Tuesday, and is to sail on Tuesday night for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Wingatui is to sail to-day for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Cargo not loaded by the Wingatui will bo forwarded by the Navua, and consequently shippers will not suffer delay. The Kawatiri is expected to leave Newcastle to-day with a coal cargo for Dunedin. The Woimarino is at present leading coal at Newcastle for Port Chalmers. The Karaona, which was bar-bound yesterday, is to leave Westport to-day for Bluff and Dunedin. Savill, and Albion Company advise that tho Mahia will leave Auckland today for Lyttelton to unload the remainder of her cargo from London. Miawson, arrived at Auckland at midnight on Monday from Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga, to disembark 31 passenger,s and to discharge her cargo of 13,872 cases and 2X2 bunches of bananae. Fine weather was experienced in tho Tonga and Samoa Groups, but when the vessel returned to Fiji torrential rain was encountered. Suva m* ciciired at 6 gjn. on Wednesday and on

the first day from port the .wind was light south-easterly. It afterwards changed to the north-west and blow moderately, accompanied by heavy ram showers almost to Auckland. The Tofua is to leave Auckland to-day on her return trip to Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga. THE KETCH RIKA. Messrs Dalgety and Co. advise that the ketch Rina, with a cargo of explosives ex the S.S. and A. Line steamer Mahia, for discharge at southern ports, is due at Dunedin about the end c-f June, and on completing unloading will load lor Auckland. RUAPEHU FROM LIVERPOOL. Tho New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu arrived at Auckland on Monday afternoon from Liverpool. The vessel brought three saloon and 95 third-class passengers for New Zealand. The Ellerman Line steamer City of Adelaide, from New York, via Panama, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton, arrived here yesterday afternoon, and berthed at tho Victoria wharf to discharge a large quantity of American cargo. The steamer left New York on April 16, and cleared the Panama Canal on the night of April 24. Fin© weather was met with in the Pacific until May 12, when the vessel ran into a 'scries of gales, with heavy beam and head seas, from tho north-west, west, and sc uth-wett, that lasted for five days. Tho Shaw Savill line Athenic, which left ■Southampton on Alay 1, arrived at Wellington on Wednesday morning. After loading at Loudon, the Athenic proceeded to Southampton, whore she embarked passengers and look aboard mans (says the Demi on). These conditions continued until last, night, wlien the seas moderated and rain and mist were experienced. This morning light winds and smooth seas prevailed, and the vessel arrived in port accompanied by th© beautiful weather which it is a curious coincidence she always brings.
