CHAUTAUQUA ARTISTS.

On Monday and Tuesday the Chant.auqua artists —those who have so aptly been called tho Big Five—will give an entertainment ip Burns Hall. All those who had the jirivilego of hearing these gifted performers in His Majesty’s Theatre about a fortnight ago are. looking forward with keen anticipation to the forthcoming concerts—in fact, it was duo to numerous requests of local musiorlovers that the present short season has been arranged. The principal star of this bright firmament is Maxim Brodi, tho young Russian tenor, and ho will be ably assisted by Miss Myndelle Isaacs, a brilliant soprano, whoso last api>oaranee will be here, as she is booked for a tonr of England, America, and the Continent; Miss Gertrude Hutton, the possessor of a line mezzo-soprano voice, and Keith Cooke, a young Australian basso, while Miss Rone Morrissy, tho aceornnlished solo player and accompanist, will preside at the piano. On this occasion gems from operas will bo given, including tho trio from “J.ombardi,” “Softly Awake-, My Heart,” from “Samson and Delilah,” duet from “La Forza del Destine,” and also numbers from “Rigoletto,” “Atilla.” “II Trovatore,” and “f-a Bohome,” as well as excerpts from other favourite works. Altogether a musical feast is assured. With tho view of encouraging tho taste for good music, .the prices of admission have been made within tho reach of all—namely, 3a and 2s, but patrons are advised to reserve their seats at Begg’s, there being no extra charge.
