WINTER SHOW.
GUESSING COMPETITIONS. The fat bullock, which was the subject of the principal guessing competition at the Winter Show, was weighed on Wednesday at tho Salisbury Butchery, in Stuart street, in the presence of officials of the society, and turned tho scale at 1645£1b. On the tickets being checked it was found that the result was as follows: Ladies’ Competition.—Miss Vida Glass, Dunedin, 16461 b, 1 ; Miss M. Robertson, Tokorahi, 16471 b, 2; Miss Mewhonny, Leith Valley, 164731 b, 3. Onen Competition.—Messrs B. 11. Nees, 16471 b, and J. Ileenan, Berwick. 16441 b, divide first and second prize. Messrs J. W. Young (luchclutha). R. Shennan (Berwick). and Miss Swale (Limehills) each guessed 16431 b, and divide third prize. There were a large number of guesses received, ninny being within 51b of the correct weight.
