GIFTS FROM DUNEDIN CITIZENS. The Otago Expansion League has promoted a movement, for the presentation to H.AI.iS. Dunedin of a gift from the residents of the city from which the cruiser has taken her name, and, Commodore Deal, in command of the warship, having intimated that the presentation of a set of hand instruments would bo most acceptable, if has been decided that the gift shall take that form. In order that, all classes of the community may bo enabled to participate in the presentation, it has been decided that subscriptions shall bo received from one shilling upwards. Wo have pleasure, at tho request, of tho expansion League, in inviting subscriptions in any sums that tho circumstances of the donors may allow, and wo shall acknowledge in our columns the receipt of tho subscriptions entrusted to us.
