FASHIONS IN BOOTS
CHANGES MEAN LOSS. LONDON, Juno 1. The Weekly Dispatch says that Leicester bootmakers 'point out that, contrary to the genera] belief, a wide range of boot fashions means bad business. Manufacturers are endeavouring to save themselves from ruin by limiting the number of styles. Retailers are buying only a minimum of- stock, and are always waiting to see how the fashion cat will jump. It is hoped to limit the changes to four a year.
