A quarter-caste aboriginal named Ryan called on a married woman named Grace I’lint, who was living, at Cowral apart from her husband. After a brief altercation Ryan fired tlrree revolver shots, hitting her in the throat, chest and head. A man named Flynn, who attempted to disarm Rvan, was wounded in the shoulder and thigh, though not seriously. ' Both were taken to hospital. Mrs Flint's condition is serious. The police later found Ryan’s body with a bullet in the temple.
