CHAUTAUQUA ARTISTS.

Chautauqua—the very name is synonymous with musical excellence, as will be borne out by everyone who was fortunate enough to he present at the Chautauqua entertainment about a fortnight ago. On Monday and Tuesday of next week these talented anists will give, in Burns Hall, excerpts from the world’s great operas, as well as solos, duets, quartets, etc. Each artist, although excelling as a soloist, has yet the faculty and perception to blend in harmony. Miss Isaacs is a young lady who will shortly leave for a tour of America, England, and the Continent to fulfil engagements at tho famous opera houses in these countries. Air Maxim Brodi is already a well-known star in tho operatic firmament. and Dunedin is fortunate in having this further opportunity of hearing his fcpllliko voice. Miss Gertrude Hutton scored an instantaneous success here two weeks ago, and it gogs without saying That this success will be repeated. Keith Cooke’s share in the entertainment will by no means be the least enjoyable. Miss Rene Morrissy will again be the pianist and accompanist, and will no doubt be as enthusiastically received as she was on her last appearance in Dunedin. Seats may bo reserved at Begg’s free of charge, the admission prices being 3s and 2s (plus tax)
