A drop of .6101,355 ICs in tho volume of totalisalor speculation is shown by the return for the 1023-24 racing and trotting season in the Auckland province which terminated yesterday with the final day of the Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting. Nearly £2,509,090 was passed through the machine at' the various meetings, the exact Jighrc being £2,453,291 10s, compared with £2,554,1k<7 last season. Racing investments show a decrease of £106.129. ’ The returns cf the Auckland Racing Club ■were nearly £50,000 larger than lust year, but those of the Takayuna and Avoncalo Jockey Chiba’’ dropped considerably.
