ELECTIONS LOOMING UP. EXCITING CAMPAIGN ASSURED. Pros* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, March 31. (Received April 1, at 8.4 b p.m.) The New York Times's Washington correspondent says that although two resolutions are pending in the Senate requesting Mr Theodore Roosevelts resignation and the investigation of Mr A. W. Mellon (Secretary of tho Treasury) these being part of the concerted attack upon Mr Coblidge’s Cabinet—the legislative body is feeling the effect of the tightening of the reins by the leaders ot both parties, and the Senate will return to its legislative functions shortly. Mr Coolidge has called a conference at White House for the purpose of furthering the passage of the tax reductions and aids to the farmers, etc. Plans are being made to secure the adjournment of the Congress in June to permit the legislators to participate in the ensuing campaign. Both conventions will participate in the ffr-ht. Observers predict that the scandals have already created sufficient material to assure the hottest contest since the election of 1912.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
