Rider, a South African sheepbreeder. has arrived with the object of purchasing stud animals. He states that South African farmers are now devoting much attention to woolraising, realising that merino sheepfainting is the safest4sproposition. He claims that within the ' next 20 years South Africa will be as great a woolproducing country as Australia, which, he says, is rapidly becoming a muttonproducer, while South Africa is steadily evolving into one of the greatest woolprod ueers in the world.
