Lord Asfcwith has introduced a Bill into the House of Lords making either strikes or lockouts illegal. It provides for the appointment of a court of inquiry into a dispute, and the presentation of a report on tho dispute. For breaches of the Act employers are liable to a minimum fine of £2O and a maximum fine of £2OO daily, and the employees to a fine of £2 and £lO daily.—A. and N.Z. Gable.
