Successful applicants will be posted to tho New Zealand Permanent Staff in the rank of Staff Sergeant on probation, and, if they are favourably reported on, will bo confirmed in the appointment at the end of one year. They may ho required to servo anywhere in New Zealand. Removal expenses to such station will be a charge against the Department. Tho pay of Stall Sergeant is:—Single men, £245 p.a. ; married men, £275 p.a.
