INEBRIATED MOTORIST.
SENSATIONAL CHASE BY POLICE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 14. In the Police Court John Kelly was sentenced to 14 days with hard labour for being drunk in charge of a motor car. He was captured after a sensational chase through two suburbs by the police in another motor car. Kelly’s car eventually crashed into the pavement and capsized. Kelly escaped death by a miracle, getting off with cuts on the head.
