MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD.
INITIAL MEETING. (Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, December 11. The initial meeting of the Main Highways Council (Group 15), comprising, the Counties of Ashburton, Geraldine,.... Mackenzie, Levels, Waimate, and Waitaki, was held to-day, when Mr F. Langbein (resident engineer of the Public Works Department, Canterbury) was unanimously elected chairman. The method of procedure was discussed, and it was decided to inspect roads in the group at next meeting, in order to decide which to recommend primary and which secondary to the Main Highways Board.
