NEW SOUTH WHALES DRINK BILL. INCREASE DURING THE YEAR. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 11. The official estimate of the New South Wales drink bill for the year ended June 30 is 2ji1,050,000, an increase of £383,000 over the previous year. SYDNEY, December 11. Chandler has been acquitted. Considerable evidence was adduced to show that he was attempting a high tackle when his open hand struck Ri^iy. After a Rugby League match at Paramatta in September Chandler was committed for trial on a charge of causing actual bodily harm to Rigby, who was dazed and had a bleeding nose.
