SOCIETY FOR THE PROTECTION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
The monthly meeting of the .Society for the Protection of Women and Children was held yesterday afternoon. Those present were Mr J. M. Callaway (in the chair), the Mayor (Mr 11. L. Tapley), the Revs. V. G. Bryan Kina and C. Dallaston, Mr Uuncan Wright, Dr Siedeberg, Mesdamos Sims, Jackson. Hiett. Davey, Missfc Runciman. and the secretary. Apologies were received from the Ven. Archdeacon CurzonSiggers and Mrs Cameron. A motion of sympathy was passed with tho relatives of tno late Mrs Mowat, all members standing. The committee acknowledged a donation of £2O from ‘‘Anonymous.” Tho usual business was transacted, and the treasurer’s statement was passed for payment.
