Crown Brewery shares were sought at S6s on Monday without a response, and yesterday th© offer was increased by 6d, with sellers asking 3d more. D.I.C. (pref.) were sought at 21s on Friday last, but the offer decreased very slightly during the week. These shares have not been available for quite a long time. The price of Dominion Rubbers has fallen to 18s, but the highest offer ie 2s short of this sum. Donaghy’.s Ropes, Dunedin-Kaikorai Trams, and Dunedin Stock Exchange shares have shown practically no variation, and have been in consistent demand during the week without attracting a seller. Kaiapoi Woollens are firm and Milburn Limes are also steady, with no selling quotation during the week. M’Leod’e Soaps are in steady demand at £2l, but holders have not shown any inclination to part. There is a difference of 3s Gd between the buying and selling quotations of National Electrics, which are sought at 16s. Breweries deGentries fell slightly in price yesterday, and there was a sale at £lO2. On Monday brewery stock reappeared on the market with the buying and selling quotations at £IOO 10s and £lOl 10s respectively. New Zealand Drugs are wanted at 66a, though during the middle of the week the offer was 66s 6d. The ruling offer for Otago Daily Times shares is 61s 6d, but they have not been available for a long time. Waihis eased considerably toward the end of the week and buying and selling quotations are now 28s and 295, respectively. War Bonds have been in demand, though certain classes were available in the early part of the week.
