PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. The Tabernacle Junior C.E. Society held its annual concert and presentation ot prizes on Thursday evening m the church. There was a very large attendance of parents and friends and members from kindred societies. Mr Franklyn presided, and an enjoyable programme was given by the children as follows;—Piano solo, ihe Skylark ” Miss F. Baehop; recitation, A i oor Rule,” Master E. The secretary (Miss Crawford) then read the report, which showed a class membership of 114. The report stated that the attendance and interest throughout had been splendid. Two members —D. Stentiford and E. Stentiford—had not missed a meeting for seven years, two others—E. Crawford and M. Wahrlich. for six years, three for three years, three for two years, and ton for one year. Flowers had been distributed (altogether over 100 bunches) to the sick. Th© annual rally took the form of a motor contest, and proved very successful. At the close the winning side was given a phrty to celebrate its win. One member (E. Crawford) had organised and given entertainments at the various institutions in the city and the choir and others had visited the Benevolent Institution. The treasurer (Miss R. Watson), in her report, stated that £6 had been given to mission work, and £5 to private relief of flood sufferers. Mr Franklyn thanked those who had contributed towards the success of the entertainment, and after the distribution of the prizes presented Miss Sundstrnm (on behalf of the society) with a beautiful dressing case as a token of esteem. Miss Sundstrum warmly thanked the children for their gift, and the singing of the National Anthem brought the gathering to a close.
