METHODIST SYNOD.

SESSION AT GEEYMOUTH. (Per United Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, November 15. • The Nelson District Methodist Synod concluded its three days’ session to-day. 'lhero were 21 representatives present, the Rev. W. Gbeonslade (Blenheim) presiding. The Rev. W. B. Pickering (probationer) was recommended for ordination, and Messrs M. Ayrton and F. Batcun (home missionaries) for acceptance by the Conference. An additional agent for the Den-niston-Runanga district was recommended; also a married probationer for Picton. It was recommended that Hokitika, Motucka, and Reefton be relieved for another year of the obligation to take married ministers. . With regard to the. coal lock-out, the Synod recommended that the mining district ho assisted with collections by other districts. The Synod concluded with a largelyattended eonvorsaizone.
