SPIRITUAL HEALING.
THE HICKSON MISSION. REMARKABLE CURES REPORTED. (Pbb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 8. "More cures are reported in connection with the Hickson Christian mission. The clergy, however, are strongly opposed to making statements regarding cqres that cannot at once be verified. 'Voluntary declarations have been made, and the cases are to be inquired into by the clergy. An old lady who had been paralysed for years is reported to be able to walk, and there are several cases of restored sight and hearing. A remarkable case is reported of an elderly woman who was deaf, and can now hear. The Rev. Mr Faneourt was well acquainted with her. Two cases are reported of recovery from infantile paralysis, and also the case of a woman who had lost the use of one hand. A miraculous case is that of a young man from Island Bay. The patient suffered from valvular disease of the heart from birth, and developed curvature of the spine. He did not think he would survive the journey to the mission, but he came away showing wonderful improvement. He is now able to walk, and his mother trusts that a cure has been effected.
