TAIERI FALLEN SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL.
A mooting of the committee held on Tuesday evening was presided over by the Deputy-Mayor (Mr J. P. ’Walls). A general discussion took placc_ on the arrangements for tho unveiling which is to take place on Sunday next. A programme was drawn up as follows: National Anthem, opening prayer (Rev. C. J. Bush-King, chaplain to the forces), introductory remarks (chairman (I aien ( ouui v Council), dedication and unveiling (Mr C. L. Statham, M.P.), reading roll of honour (president Taicri R.B. A.), firing party and “Last Post’’ (bugler), acceptance and custodianship of monument (Mayor of Mosgiel), “Reveille’’ (bugler), hymn. National Anthem. It was decided to invite the public to place wreaths on the monument after it had been unveiled.
