BOUND THE WORLD IN A YACHT. SEAWEED LEAVES SUVA. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SUVA, November 8. (Received Nov. 8, at 5.5 p.m.) The British yacht Seaweed, from England, sailed this morning for Sydney.—A. and N.Z. Cable. The 20-ton sailing vacht Seaweed is one of a number of small vessels which are at present engaged on tours of adventure round the world, among the others being the Amaryllis, the Fantome, the Saiorse, and the Four Winds. The crow of the Seaweed, which left Southampton for the Antipodes on June 3, consists of Captain Symonds, D. 5.0., his wife, and a single seaman. Captain Symonds made a similar attempt in September of lost year, but he had to abandon the voyage through stress of weather while off the English coast. Before departing he told a pressman that he had every nope of completing the trip this time. The route will be to Madeira, Barbados, Panama, Galapagos Archipelago, Society Islands, Suva, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. Captain Svmonds rejected the suggestion that in the absence of auxiliary power it would bo fatal to attempt the voyage. He said that, although he was depending entirely on sails, he considered that ho Had a good chance of accomplishing the voyage with fair winds.
