POVERTY BAY MEAT WORKS
PURCHASED BY NELSON’S (LTD.). (Pub UwrrF.n Pkkrp Association.) GISBORNE, November 3. The Poverty Bay Meat Company’s works were submitted at auction under orders of the Registrar of the Supreme Court to-day. xhe only bidders were Nelsons (Limited, New Zealand, to whom, the property was sold at £192,000. It is explained, however, that whilst £192.000 wa s bid this is exclusive of a mortgage which the purchaser takes over, the total consideration being £225,000. Tire manager of Nelsons (Ltd.) announces that it is intended to transfer immediately the firm’s operations at Tamheru to the newlypurchased works.
