Anderson (Minister of Mines) is chairman. There arc five ■•cpresentntives for the miners and five for the mine owners. 'The proceedings were held in private. The conference sat all day, but no result had been arrived at up to lh e dinner adjournment. The conference resumed at 8 p m. ____________
