SPORTS’ CARNIVAL.
FESTIVITIES CONTINUED. The third evening’s entertainment at the Sports’ Wonderland Carnival showed that the executive has been fortunate in securing the services of a fine selection of performers. Last evening two new items were introduced. Air and Mrs A. R. Gard’ner and Aliss A. Petre were featured in a highly amusing comedy, “The Doctor’s Confession,’’ and Aliss Noeline Parker’s students entertained the audience with an interesting item. The Kaikorai Band was present, and played a number of selections from time to time. All the different sections of the carnival were well patronised, especially the Palais do Dance, which was occupied throughout the evening. The wireless concert, in charge of Alessrs R. Bruce, R. Butler, E, Cleavin, and Sew Hoy, continues to be a popular attraction. The positions of the princesses last night were: Alen’s Hockey (Miss Park) I Association Football (Airs J. Race) .. .. 2 Ladies’ Hockey (Airs Nelson) 3 Cricket (Miss Todd) 4
