“AS YOU LIKE IT.”
The pupils of tho Girls’ High School have already established for themselves a linn reputation in the amateur theatrical world by their previous Shakespearean portrayals, and this time their production of “ As You Like It ” has served admirably as further proof of their ability and talent. The second and final performance of the play, which was under tho direction of Miss King, who was also responsible for the training of the pupils, was given in His Majesty’s Theatre last night, when there was another largo audience. Miss Roa Lambert played tho part of Celia, Rosalind's faithful friend and daughter of Frederick (he usurper, and tho part of Amiens, one of the courtiers, was played by Miss B. Clements, who gave a very fine rendering of the songs, n- large share of which fell to her. At the conclusion of the performance the audience expressed its appreciation in two beautiful bouquets for Miss King and numbers of boxes of chocolates for the performers.
