WIRELESS RECORD.
TO THE EDITOB. Sin.—On Monday last you published a record by Mr Maclurcan, of Sydney, on C.W. : the test having been taken out with Mr F. D. 8011, of Shag Valley. On see- ' ing the figures I commented on them, as I had a chat with Mr Bel! with reference (o the matter, and as the conversation was by telephone I may have misrepresented his remarks. As for challenging the cable this was not my wish or did I want to take any honours from those concerned, but 1 was amazed at the figures, knowing the difficulties one is up against in wireless. Mr Bell and Mr Maclurcan have both been doing good work on the scientific side of wireless, and deserve their wellearned honours, as few know the time they have put in and the experiments they have made. I trust that in the interests of radio they, will continue the good work and be the means of breaking a few more records on behalf of Australasia. With past, experiences I have no hesitation in stating that the trans-continental tests, which take place next month, should seo them well on top.—l am, etc.. F. J. O’Neti.t,, 4Y.A. Station. Dunedin, October 11.
