Concrete ships have not proved the success that had been hoped for, but a useful concrete rowing boat has made its appearance in America. It can he very -speedily and economically built by a simple process, and is almost as light and easily handled as a wooden boat. The concrete is nearly half an inch in thickness, and can stand all ordinary shocks, and the new type boat is likely to prove popular on account of its cheapness.
