A DRUG ADDICT.
DEATH DUE TO OVERDOSE. (Pub United Press Association.! PALMERSTON NORTH, June 25. At the inquest on tfao body of Walter Ernest Hall, whose dead body was found on Thursday in the local chemist’s shop (where deceased was employed), evidence was given that deceased was addicted to drugs, and must have broken into the shop while under the influence of liquor. In deceased’s hand was a hypodermic syringe and on the counter were throe tubes, which previously contained a narcotic ; also an empty bottle previously containing a narcotic. The coroner’s verdict was that death was duo to an overdose of the drug, self-administered, whilo under the influence of liquor.
