The North-East Harbour School Committee held its third annual competitions in the Public Hall on Saturday last before a very large audience. Mr Hamilton Eager gave every satisfaction as judge. The following are the prize-winners:—Recitation ( n Class)—-Betty Riddell 1, Irene Hook 2, Joyce Coventry 3; song (Standard I and ID —lrene J.androth 1, Jessie Nevill 2; recitation (Standards I and II) —Olivo Wilson 1, Audry Carroll 2, George Cochrane 3; song (Standards 111 and IV) —Ruwea Vivian 1, Edna Brown 2; recitation (Standards 111 and IV)—Huio Gilmour 1, Eileen Small 2, Edna Nevill 3; pianoforte solo (Standards V and VI) —Nome Tyrie 1, Minnie Marett 2, Ethel Johnson 3; recitation (Standards V and Vl)—Hellen Howie 1, Norma Small 2, Cliff Churchill 3 ; song (Standards V and VI)— Betty Coventry 1, Sylvia Vivian 2, Katie Landreth 3. —ln payment of a debt incurred in 1877, an Oxford firm has just received a cheque from a former undor-gm-dnal*.
