DUNEDIN LICENSING COMMITTEE.

The adjourned annua] meeting of the Dunedin Licensing Comnuttee was resumed yesterday. Messrs J. R. Bartholomew (chairman), A. J. Nichol, <l. Ritchie, and W. King wore present. ,

The following transfers were granted, a license being granted to the transferee in each ease: —Charles Hineholitf to Alfred Waller Brown (Gridiron Hotel), Joseph D. Winter to Henry Walter Winter (Gladstone Hotel), Henry Mathie , Allan to John Henry Traeey (Captain Cook Hotel), Michael Thomas Hull to Matthew Henry Richards (Farmers’ Arms Hotel), Ernest Cyril Branson to Charles Hinohdiff (Prince of Wales Hotel). In respect lo the application for a new license by Earl Andrew Richardson for the Shiel Hill Hotel the license was granted subject to the necessary work being carried out to the satisfaction of the building inspector, £3OO as a guarantee, to bo deposited with the clerk. The following publicans’ licenses wore renewed: —John Richardson (Crown Hotel), John Hope (Metropolitan), Charles Burrell (Shamrock), John Plank (Caledonian), Matthew Henry Dawson (Parksidc), William Crossau (Waterloo), Jessie Oattanach (Normanby). Messrs Dalgely and Co.’s wholesale license was also renewed.
