A fire at the top of _ a telephone pole 'is an occurrence that is not recorded in the on nab of many fire brigades, but the Auckland City Brigade can now claim to have attended such an outbreak (reports the New Zealand Herald). The call came to the coiner of Hobson street and Cook street, where it was found that the top of a telephone pole was smouldering. The outbreak was extinguished with a few buckets of water.
