THE EXHIBITION SITE.

TO THE EDITOB. , Sib, —As one who believes that a central location is vital to the success of an exhibition, I think the Oval should be further considered. As the present A. and P. Show hall is quite inadequate, it would be an excellent move to include a new, permanent building for the Winter Show in the exhibition expenditure. This could be done by purchasing tha land at the back of the Drill Hall facing the Oval and erecting- on it the main pavilion, which could be later sold to the A. and P. Association. In this way Dunedin would have. an Agricultural Hall centrally located that would be a credit to the city and enabie a show to be held that would have ample room and which, if necessary, could be extended into the Drill Hall. If the street in front of the Drill Hall were temporarily closed, a tunnel under the railway line would lead into the Caledonian Grounds, where the sporting events could be held. I think this plan would give us an exhibition of a suitable size and ensure it being a financial success.—-I am, etc., Centhal. Dunedin, May 29. THE CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY. TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —Being a shareholder of the Cooperative Dairy Company of Otago (Ltd.), which is expected to start operations on June 1, I wish to 6tate that so far the shareholders have not received a copy of the articles of association. I think sufficient time has elapsed since the company was formed to have had these articles printed and circulated. Is it customary on the establishment of a co-operative dairy company for the main points of tho articles to be explained to shareholders who are canvassed ? Or, how doss the shareholder or the intending shareholder get this information '! I must come to the conclusion that the articles contain something which is not likely to meet with the approval of the farmers of Otago. I have lately learned that farmers who have taken shares are bound to supply all oream produced on the farm for a poriod of four years. I was not informed of this fact and would not have applied for shares if I had been so informed. -I am. etc., Farmeb. Lovell's Flat, May 28.
