FIELD TURNIP COMPETITIONS. RESULTS OF TWO DISTRICT'S. Mr R. B. Terment, Government Instructor in Agriculture, who was entrusted with the judging of the field turnip competitions ,held under the auspices of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society, has submitted the following report:—"So far only two out of the three districts have been judged, and I anticipate judging the remaining district —viz., Tuapeka—at an. early date, lhe results of the Inchclutha and Taieri districts are distinctly gratifying, especially in regard to the crop of swede turnips grown by Mr J. Lawrence, of Janefield, who scored 90 points out of a possible 100. In submitting the results, I wish to put on record my appreciation of the assistance rendered in judging the crops by Mr D. Andrews, arid my hearty congratulations to the successful entrants in the competition." The conditions wero five acres of swedes, and the results follow:
