UNITED STATES PRESIDENCY
MR FORD IN THE FIELD. DEMOCRATIC ASPIRANT. WASHINGTON, May 16. Mr Henry Ford is conceded to have better than an even money chance of capturing the Democratic nomination for the Presidency election in 1924. While he will be bitterly opposed by professional politicians, who regard him as an interloper, they are faced with the fact that he could carry the South, and pull an immense vote in the Middle and bar West. His strength among the Eastern industrialists is not inconsiderable, and, taking everything into consideration, Mr Ford appears as the strongest Democratic candidate yet mentioned.
