TWO PICTURES RECOVERED
A SUSPECT DETAINED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Mav 28. Scotland Yard, after prolonged investigation, has recovered .in London two Gainsboroughs and other art treasures which were stolen from Benham Park. A man named Rogers has been detained.— A. and N.Z, Cable. On March 17, while the family were asleep at Benham Park, the country mansion of Mr Henry Cecil Sutton, a reputed millionaire, two Gainsboroughs and other pictures and art treasures were stolen. They were worth at least’ £50,000.
