TO THE ZDITOE. S IH) —With your permission I would reply to a letter which appeared in the Daily limes of last Saturday over the name of '"Don." I waa chairman of the meeting referred to, and desire to state emphatir caliy that Mr Outtriss did not say "that ho had no more time for a Roman Catholic than ho did for a burglar or a rattlesnake," and to this, a number of creditable witnesses can testify. lam not defending the lecturer, as ho can look after himself, and will in a very public and effective manner deal with the whole question when tho right time conies. . Your correspondent has misunderstood tho lecturer i-.s the average reader of the necessarily highly condensed report who had not lieard the lecture would do.—l am, o tc, George Wooia'Ough.
