PROTEST FROM PERMANENT APPOINTMENT URGED. (Pjsk United Press Association.) GREYMOUTH. May 28. The Executive Committee of the West .Coast section of the Public Service Association passed the following resolution“lMiis committee, representing the West, ■Coast"public servants, considers the delay in the appointment of a Public Service Commissioner. is not in the best interests of the service or of .the general public, and the Govarameut immediately to take steps to make a permanent .appointment in order to eliminate any question . that the insecurity of.tenure of the acting Commissioner, is being-detrimentally vised; and that Hie-local members of Parl‘iament be asked to , telegraph the request to the Prime Minister.
