RESULT OF THEI ELECTION,

The election results are incomplete, but the Government with 230 deputies has a majority. The Republicans have fewer and the Socialists more deputies than in the previous Chamber.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
The Spanish Cabinet, headed by Senor Martinez, resigned from office on Apul 4, following the publication of a manifesto by the Episcopate opposing a, proposal to alter the terms of the constitution. The manifesto was plainly opposed to the religious feelings of the majority of th,' people. When the new Cabinet took office the finances of the country were found to be in a deplorable condition.
