(Received April 30, at 9.5 p.m.) The Paris correspondent qf ( the Daily Express says that the relations between the Turks and the French are very strained. The whole country is solidly behind the Government ■in its refusal to accept the Turkish offer to pay the interest on Turkish bonds in French paper franca. The question interests every village in T rance, where the-peasants and shopkeepers are determined that Turkish bonds shall not be brought down to the level of the Russian bonds,—A. and N.Z. Cable.
