The seventeenth annual trials of the StrathTateri Collie Club were hold on the Robartsleigh Estate on April 19, 20, and 21. _ The sheep, kindly supplied by Mr A. M Kinnon, proved very suitable for the purpose, ana favoured! by good entries and S- orl <™“ weather, the meeting proved in every way a huge success. The popular secretary, A. Matheson, jum, and the officials had arrangements well in hand, and things w with a awing. Seven ladies contested this event and their work proved that they had little to lea.ru from their menfolk in the art of handling sheep-dog. One well-known sheepman was heard to remark that he came to have a good laugh at the ladies working their dogs, bu instead he had an eye-opener. It would n be an exaggeration to say that the best average work at the meeting was seen in this event. Every competitor put in a. good run and completed her course.
