The Senate passed a resolution instructing the President to communicate with Governments where the drug elements are produced and to ascertain whether the production can be reduced to bare medical needs in an effort to stifle the narcotic traffic—-A. and N.Z. Cable. ANTI-DRUG BILL. LONDON, March 1, The Minister of Home Affairs (Mr W. C. Bridgeman), in moving the second reading of the Anti-Drug Bill, said that hitherto drug traffickers could escape punishment by trading abroad. The Bill brought them within the scope of the penalties. The Bill was read a second time -without a division.—A. and N.Z.Cable.
