Replying to questions, the PostmasterGeneral (Mr Neville Chamberlain) said that cable delays -within the Empire had been greatly reduced. The cable companies, on the completion of the new cable to the Far East, hoped to be able to offer a service as good as that of prewar days. The cabling charges Ixad not increased since 1914. The Government was considering the question of allowing private enterprise to provide wireless communication within the Empire.—A. and N.Z. Cable
